Plan ahead! As soon as you know you may be traveling to another state or leaving the country, contact us to begin the process. Depending on the country, it can sometimes take several months to a year to get everything done before a travel date

Center City Veterinary Hospital can help you travel abroad. Both Michael Cohen, VMD and Stephen Meister, VMD are USDA Accredited veterinarians by the USDA National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP) and will help you and your pet meet the requirements mandated by the country of destination. Some states, such as Hawaii, also have special requirements.

When traveling with your pet, there may be requirements specific for that destination. As soon as you know your travel details, contact us so we can assist with the pet travel process. Factors to consider may include: meeting time frames for examinations, microchips, updating vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or administration of medications/treatments.

No matter where you're going, we strongly recommend contacting the embassy or consulate of the destination country to confirm pet travel regulations. We also advise contacting your airline to be informed of their policies and requirements.

Give yourself plenty of time to do your homework before your trip. For more information, visit: USDA APHIS. Please be advised that preparation for travel to some destinations can take months.

We know how much your pets mean to you. That is why we are committed to providing you the most accurate and up-to-date information on traveling with a pet. Your questions are welcome!
